This is the water feature that I have been working on. The used the pipes predominantly because I think they are not as obvious as using say, a water droplet as the main attraction on a story about water. The story is about how Columbia has two different water sources and so having pipes running every which way is an attempt to illustrate the differing paths the "essential element" can take. Also I liked the idea of having the text boxes themselves represent the water that is, literally, coming out of the pipes.
